Research fellow

The International Laboratory of Game Theory and Decision Making is looking for new employees.

We are looking for researchers with publications in the best international journals in Economics (HandelsblattScopusWeb of Science ratings, top field) and related fields in mathematics and computer/data science or with results that potentially can be published in such journals. 

The main directions of research:
  • game theory
  • mechanism design
  • market design
  • decision making
  • social choice

There are two ways to get a job in the Lab:
1) direct recruitment
2) programs of Russian and International Postdocs.

Our former postdoctoral fellows:
  • 2017-2018 — Anna Zseleva, Assistant Professor at the Department of Quantitative Economics of Maastricht University;
  • 2018-2019 — Artem Baklanov, Research Fellow, Game Theory Lab, HSE;
  • 2018-2020 — Somouaoga Bonkoungou, Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Lausanne;
  • 2018-2020 — Bas Dietzenbacher, Assistant Professor at the Department of Quantitative Economics of Maastricht University;
  • 2019-2021 — Egor Ianovski, Research Fellow, Game Theory Lab, HSE;
  • 2021-2022 — Alex Suzdaltsev, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of HSE Campus in St. Petersburg.

If you want to work in the Lab, we will offer you to present your research at one of our seminars and pass interviews with some employees. We are especially glad to see those candidates who already have joint projects with the laboratory staff. Therefore, to begin with, you can work with someone from the laboratory staff.
