2nd Summer Internship (July – August 2023)

In 2022, we established a new tradition of holding a month-long internship for students in the Lab. This year was no exception, and from July 10^th till August 10^th, we organized scientific activities for 20 students from MIPT, RSE, SPBU, HSE and MSU.

The internship was divided into two parts:

• Week 1 was about acquainting the students with the open research problems that the Lab is currently working on. The interns were invited to attend lectures given by researchers from HSE and foreign universities. All in all, there were 45-50 hours of lectures from 15 researchers. At the end of week 1, every intern was able to choose a scientific problem in the desired field, and was assigned to a scientific advisor.
• Weeks 2-4 were devoted to doing the research itself, in cooperation with the scientific advisor. At the end of the internship, every student was given the chance to present their findings on the matter.

 
Altogether there were 40 tasks from different scientific advisors on the problems of auction design, cooperative game theory and market design.

As a result, 15 tasks were resolved completely, and the Lab invited 10 interns to join the research team on a regular basis.
