Dmitry Ivanov was awarded a PhD in Computer Science

On December 27, 2024, Dmitry Igorevich Ivanov defended his PhD thesis on the topic "Application of Machine Learning to Game-Theoretical Problems: Auctions and Markov Games", submitted for a PhD in Computer Science. Dmitry began his scientific career in the Laboratory, first as a research intern, then as a junior research assistant. The first scientific works were prepared under the supervision of the Head of the International Laboratory of Game Theory and Decision Making, Alexander Sergeevich Nesterov.

The committee consisted of eminent figures from the world scientific community:
- Nikolenko Sergey Igorevich (Faculty of Computer Science, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Chairman of the Committee);
- Vetrov Dmitry Petrovich (Faculty of Computer Science, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Committee member);
- Karpas Erez (Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, PhD, Committee member);
- Sandomirsky Fedor Alekseevich (Princeton University, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Committee member);
- Xu Haifeng (University of Chicago, PhD, Committee member).

The committee members highly appreciated the contribution of Dmitry Igorevich's work in the field of game theory and machine learning and noted that the results could serve as a solid foundation for further research.

By decision of the dissertation council on January 30, 2025, Dmitry Igorevich Ivanov was awarded a PhD in Computer Science – with excellent grade!
