International Workshop "Computational Social Choice 2016"

Laboratory staff took part in the Sixth International Workshop on Computational Social Choice, as well as COST Action Industry Day, which took place on June 21-24, 2016 in Toulouse (France).

Workshop "Game Theory, Mechanism Design and Market Equilibria"

On April 8, 2016 the workshop organized by the International Laboratory of game theory and decision-making was held. The event brought together researchers interested in social choice, mechanism design and other fields which are close to the research interests of the laboratory.

Mini-course "Topics in Game Thory: Cooperative Games"

On the 5th and 6th of April, the heads of the international laboratory of game theory and decision making will read the mini-course "Topics in Game Thory: Cooperative Games". The course is mandatory for 3rd year bachelor students (program "Economics"), but the lectures are open for the attendance. You can find the schedule in the extended version of this post.

New HSE Laboratory Seeks to Become Leading Game Theory Research Centre

At the beginning of the current academic year, the International Laboratory of Game Theory and Decision Making opened at HSE St. Petersburg. Its launch marked a significant milestone in the university’s development, as the lab gathered internationally recognized scholars and representatives of the Russian Academy of Science.

Game Theory Research Set to Expand in St. Petersburg

Research on game theory has a strong history in Russia, and this year’s opening of the new HSE International Laboratory for Game Theory and Decision-Making in St. Petersburg will only help it grow stronger. Leading the laboratory, which will include researchers from the St. Petersburg Institute for Economics and Mathematics, will be Herve Moulin, Donald J. Robertson Chair of Economics at the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow. Prof. Moulin is a scholar who is known for his research contributions in mathematical economics, in particular in the fields of mechanism design, social choice, game theory and fair division.

New International Labs at HSE St. Petersburg to Study Economy of Health and Game Theory

On June 26, the HSE Academic Council approved the opening of two new international laboratories. Specifically, the St. Petersburg School of Economics and Management will gain a laboratory for the study of healthcare economics, management, and policy, as well as a laboratory for game theory and decision-making. The labs' academic supervisors will be renowned international scholars.
